SERVINGS : 2 people.
INGREDIENTS :
1 cup Sooji (Semolina).
1 inch ginger (chopped).
1 onion (chopped).
2 tbsp ghee.
1 carrot (chopped).
1 capsicum (chopped).
1 potato (chopped).
1 tbsp udad daal.
8 cashew nuts.
Currry leaves.
1/4 tbsp cumin seeds.
lemon juice.
2 cups water.
TOTAL TIME : 10-15 minutes
STEPS :
1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee and fry sooji on a moderate heat, stirring continuously, untill it gives a distinct aroma.
2. Take the fried sooji out of the pan.
3. In the same pan, add 1 tbsp ghee, curry leaves, cumin leaves, musturd, udad daal and cashew nuts and fry till the daal becomes red.
4. Add all vegetables and salt to taste.
5. Add 2 cups off water and cover the pan, heat on a low flame untill all the vegetables are done.
6. Add fried sooji in it, stirring continuously till it becomes thick.
7. Take off and add lemon juice.
8. Served hot, with pickle.







don’t you think at step 3 we also need to add some oil/ ghee?
