It is good to eat, fast to cook and doesn’t stick your tongue and make you crave for the salty dish.. It is also generally cooked at some common north indian festivals like badmawas, teeje, karwachauth etc..

Ingredients:

  1. 250 gm wheat flour
  2. Chopped driend coconut
  3. 2 tbsp of dried saunff
  4. 500 gm of sunflower refined oil
  5. 2 glasses of water
  6. 5 spoons of sugar

Steps:

  1. PREPARING THE BATTER:
    • Take a bowl and add flour, chopped coconuts or coconut powder, saunff and sugar. Mix well using a laddle.
    • Drop 4-5 drops of refined oil in it.
    • Slowly add water and keep stirring so that all the flour gets mixed evenly. Add a pinch of baking soda if you wish.
  2. PREPARING PUYE
    • Pour refined oil in the wok and let it heat to a high temperature..
    • Pour drops of the batter prepared earlier into the hot oil, in whatever shapes you like.
